Ps._C7V1Ps._C7V1 1. O LORD my God, in you do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Ps._C7V2Ps._C7V2 2. Lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
Ps._C7V3Ps._C7V3 3. O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
Ps._C7V4Ps._C7V4 4. If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is my enemy:)
Ps._C7V5Ps._C7V5 5. Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.
Ps._C7V6Ps._C7V6 6. Arise, O LORD, in your anger, lift up yourself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that you have commanded.
Ps._C7V7Ps._C7V7 7. So shall the congregation of the people surround you: for their sakes therefore return you on high.
Ps._C7V8Ps._C7V8 8. The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.
Ps._C7V9Ps._C7V9 9. Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God tests the minds and hearts.
Ps._C7V10Ps._C7V10 10. My defence is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
Ps._C7V11Ps._C7V11 11. God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Ps._C7V12Ps._C7V12 12. If he turns not, he will whet his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.
Ps._C7V13Ps._C7V13 13. He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death; he makes ready his arrows against the persecutors.
Ps._C7V14Ps._C7V14 14. Behold, he brought forth iniquity, and has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Ps._C7V15Ps._C7V15 15. He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made.
Ps._C7V16Ps._C7V16 16. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own crown.
Ps._C7V17Ps._C7V17 17. I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
